Overview
The Eaton XV300 series is a high-performance HMI that can also run the PLC: the XV-303-10-C02-A00-1C has a 10.1-inch capacitive multi-touch display (1280 × 800), an 800 MHz Arm Cortex-A9 processor, 2 × Ethernet, USB, RS-232/485 and CAN interfaces, and runs the Galileo visualization software with an optional CODESYS 3 PLC runtime licence. It communicates with Siemens, Rockwell, Mitsubishi, Omron and Modbus controllers through Galileo drivers, and the CODESYS option turns it into a compact machine controller with the easy and XN300 remote I/O. The glass front is IP65 and supports gesture operation with gloves.

Can the XV300 talk to a Siemens PLC?
Yes. Galileo includes S7 drivers for S7-1200/1500 and S7-300/400, as well as drivers for Rockwell, Mitsubishi, Omron and Modbus devices.
Do I need the CODESYS licence?
Only if you want the panel to act as PLC. As a pure HMI with Galileo no runtime licence is required.
