Festo VTUG Valve Terminal with IO-Link (VTUG-10-MSDR-B1T-25V20-Q6S-U-Q4SL-8) — product card

Overview

The Festo VTUG is a universal valve terminal built from VUVG valves in 10, 14 or 18 mm widths with up to 24 valve positions, connected electrically by multi-pin (Sub-D), IO-Link or fieldbus via the CTEU bus node (PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, PROFIBUS, CANopen). It replaces individually wired valves with one cable and a single air supply, cutting installation time and cabinet space on packaging and assembly machines. The terminal is configured online with the Festo configurator: valve functions per position, pressure zones, port sizes (QS push-in 4/6/8 mm) and electrical interface. The example type code is a 10 mm terminal with 8 positions, 5/2 monostable valves and IO-Link connection. IP65 allows mounting directly on the machine.

Key features

  • VUVG valves 10/14/18 mm, up to 24 positions, 5/2, 5/3 and 2×3/2 functions mixed
  • Electrical: multi-pin Sub-D, IO-Link (CTEU-IO) or fieldbus via CTEU bus node
  • Pressure zones and external pilot supply; QS push-in ports 4, 6, 8 mm
  • Configured online with the Festo Valve Terminal Configurator, delivered assembled and tested
  • IP65 for decentralised mounting; vacuum operation possible with external pilot

Typical applications

  • Packaging and filling machines with many pneumatic actuators
  • Assembly and test cells with IO-Link architecture
  • Decentralised valve islands on conveyors and handling systems
  • Replacement of CPV and MPA terminals

Frequently asked questions

How do I specify a VTUG terminal?

Send us the list of valve functions per position, port sizes and the electrical interface; we configure the type code in the Festo configurator and send you the drawing for approval before ordering.

Can I mix 5/2 and 5/3 valves on one terminal?

Yes. Any VUVG function in the same width can be combined on the same terminal, and pressure zones can be separated with isolating plates.

Is the VTUG available from stock, and what is the lead time?

Terminals are built to order; typical lead time is 2–3 weeks from the Festo assembly centre. We confirm with the quotation.

Send us a part number, a BOM or a drawing.

Our engineers reply within one business day with availability, lead time and alternatives where they save you cost or time.
