Overview
The Festo MS series is the modular air-preparation platform: filters, regulators, lubricators, on/off valves and soft-start valves in widths MS2 to MS12 that clip together without pipework. The MS6-LFR-1/2-D6-ERV-AS combines a 40 µm filter with automatic condensate drain and a diaphragm regulator (0.5–12 bar) in one unit with G1/2 ports, pressure gauge and mounting bracket — the standard inlet unit for a machine or a pneumatic panel. The rotary knob with lock and the clear bowl with metal guard simplify operation and inspection. Additional MS6 modules such as the MS6-EM on/off valve, MS6-DL soft-start valve and MS6-LFM fine filters attach directly.
Key features
- Filter regulator in one unit: 40 µm filter, automatic condensate drain (full-auto), diaphragm regulator
- G1/2 ports, flow rate 7,000 l/min, regulated pressure 0.5–12 bar
- Modular MS6 system — add on/off valve, soft-start, lubricator or fine filter without piping
- Lockable rotary knob, pressure gauge, bowl with metal guard
- Variants with 5 µm filter, manual drain, pressure sensor SDE output
Typical applications
- Main air supply for machines and production cells
- Pneumatic control panels and valve terminals
- Spray and blow-off air preparation
- Replacement of D-series and other FRL units

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between ERV and CRV drain?
ERV is the fully automatic condensate drain that empties regardless of pressure; CRV is a manual rotary drain. Automatic drains are recommended where the unit is not inspected daily.
Can I add a lubricator or soft-start valve later?
Yes. The MS6 modular connectors let you attach MS6-LOE lubricators, MS6-DL soft-start/quick-exhaust valves and MS6-EM shut-off valves without re-piping.
Is the MS6-LFR available from stock, and what is the lead time?
Standard G1/2 units are usually 1–2 weeks from regional stock. We confirm with the quotation.
