Overview
The SLG700 is Honeywell's SmartLine guided-wave radar for continuous level and interface measurement in liquids and some solids. Rod, coaxial and rope probes cover ranges to 50 m, and the SLG720 adds high-temperature/high-pressure and steam-compensation versions for boiler drums and condensate vessels. A full echo-curve view on the advanced display and via HART helps commissioning, and probe-end projection keeps measuring low-dielectric liquids below the normal detection threshold. Like the rest of SmartLine, display and electronics are field-replaceable; the example key number is a rod-probe HART unit with advanced display.

Frequently asked questions
Can the SLG700 measure in a boiler drum with saturated steam?
Yes, with the SLG720 steam-compensation option: a reference section on the probe measures the dielectric change of the vapour phase and corrects the level in real time, which a standard GWR cannot do.
Does the SLG700 measure both level and interface?
Yes. With an upper product of low dielectric constant over a conductive lower product (oil over water) it reports both the total level and the interface position.
