SmartLine SMV800 Multivariable Transmitter
Part number SMV800-E2A-1-ACS-A-AHB-11S-A-50A0-0000
DP, static pressure and temperature in one transmitter with on-board compensated mass or volumetric flow calculation for gas, steam and liquids, HART 7, SIL2.
- CE
- ATEX
- IECEx
- SIL2
- HART 7

Overview
The SMV800 measures differential pressure, static pressure and process temperature in a single SmartLine transmitter and calculates fully compensated mass or volumetric flow on board, following AGA, ISO 5167 and ASME equations for orifice, nozzle, Venturi and Annubar primaries. For steam and gas lines it replaces three transmitters and a flow computer, which cuts installation, loop-check and spares cost. DP accuracy is ±0.04 % with a 400:1 turndown, and the dynamic compensation updates every 125 ms. The example key number includes the RTD input, advanced display and ATEX approval; we size the primary element and configure the flow equation with you.

Frequently asked questions
When is a multivariable transmitter better than three separate transmitters?
For steam, gas and any compressible fluid, flow must be compensated for pressure and temperature. The SMV800 does this in the transmitter with a single loop and one tap set, saving two loops, a flow computer and the associated wiring and calibration — usually 30–40 % lower installed cost.
Which primary elements does the SMV800 support?
Orifice plates, flow nozzles, Venturi tubes and averaging pitot tubes (Annubar type) with standard discharge-coefficient equations, plus user-defined coefficients.
Is the SMV800 available from stock, and what is the lead time?
Typical factory lead time is 4–8 weeks. We confirm with the quotation.
