MGate 5105 Modbus ↔ EtherNet/IP Gateway
Part number MGate 5105-MB-EIP
1-port protocol gateway converting Modbus RTU/ASCII/TCP to EtherNet/IP, with built-in diagnostics and traffic monitor, DIN rail, -10…+60 °C.

- UL
- cULus
- RoHS
- REACH

Overview
The MGate 5105-MB-EIP connects Modbus serial or TCP devices to EtherNet/IP controllers such as Rockwell CompactLogix and ControlLogix without writing PLC messaging code. The gateway acts as an EtherNet/IP adapter, exposing Modbus registers as I/O assemblies that the PLC reads cyclically. Built-in protocol diagnostics, traffic monitoring and a status relay shorten commissioning and fault-finding. A typical use is bringing Modbus power meters or a Siemens PLC's Modbus interface into an Allen-Bradley plant.
Key features
- Modbus RTU/ASCII/TCP master or slave ↔ EtherNet/IP adapter
- 1 × RS-232/422/485 + 1 × 10/100 Ethernet
