MGate MB3180 Modbus Gateway
Part number MGate MB3180
1-port Modbus TCP ↔ Modbus RTU/ASCII gateway, RS-232/422/485, 12–48 V DC, DIN rail, for bringing serial meters and instruments onto Ethernet.
- CE
- UL
- RoHS

Overview
The MGate MB3180 is the simplest way to put a serial Modbus device — a power meter, a flow computer, an old PLC — onto a Modbus TCP network. It converts transparently between Modbus TCP and RTU/ASCII, supports up to 31 serial slaves with automatic unit-ID routing, and accepts up to 16 TCP master connections. Configuration takes minutes through a web browser or the MGate Manager utility. Wide-temperature (-T) version available.
Key features
- Modbus TCP ↔ RTU/ASCII conversion, master or slave on either side
- 1 × RS-232/422/485 serial port, 1 × 10/100 Ethernet
- Up to 31 serial slaves, 16 simultaneous TCP masters
- Web console and Windows utility configuration, built-in traffic monitor
