Overview
The EDS-408A is the switch most often specified for small redundant rings in water plants, substations and machine cells: eight 10/100 ports, Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain recovery under 20 ms, RSTP/STP for interoperability, and dual redundant 12–48 V DC power inputs with relay alarm. Management covers VLAN, QoS, IGMP snooping, port mirroring and SNMP, which is enough for most OT networks without the cost of a Gigabit backbone switch. The -T version extends operation to -40…+75 °C.
