Overview
The SCALANCE XB008 is the unmanaged switch Siemens recommends for connecting a PLC, HMI and a few devices inside a panel. It is fanless, mounts on a DIN rail or S7-1200 rail, shows link and activity per port and supports PROFINET RT traffic without configuration. Use it for star and line topologies inside a machine; for ring redundancy or VLANs step up to the managed SCALANCE XB-200 or XC-200 families.
