Overview

The Weidmüller PRO MAX is the premium line of the PRO series DIN-rail power supplies, built for continuous full load across a -25…+70 °C range with power boost of 150 % for 5 s to trip breakers and start motors. The 480 W / 24 V / 20 A model (2466890000) has a wide 100–240 V AC single-phase input (also DC input), 94.3 % efficiency, an adjustable output of 24–28 V and a DC-OK relay contact for monitoring. Optional PRO modules add redundancy (PRO DCDC/PRO RM), buffering (PRO CAP) and UPS functions; the push-in connections and 40 mm width simplify cabinet assembly. ATEX and Class I Div 2 approvals allow installation in hazardous-area cabinets.

What is the advantage of power boost?

The 150 % boost (30 A for 5 s) lets the supply trip miniature circuit breakers on a faulted branch and start motors or capacitive loads without the output collapsing.

Can two PRO MAX units run in redundancy?

Yes. With a PRO RM redundancy module two units share the load and either can carry it alone; the DC-OK contacts signal a failure to the PLC.
