Overview
The Weidmüller IE-SW-BL08-8TX (1240900000) is a basic-line unmanaged industrial Ethernet switch with eight 10/100BASE-TX ports in a slim metal DIN-rail housing. It supports auto-negotiation, auto MDI/MDI-X and QoS prioritisation (IEEE 802.1p) for PROFINET and EtherNet/IP traffic, and accepts redundant 12–48 V DC power with a relay contact for power failure. The BL (basic line) series covers 5, 8 and 16 port versions with optional fibre uplinks; the ECO line offers lower-cost plastic housings and the managed MANAGED/UNIVERSAL lines add redundancy protocols. It is the usual choice for connecting PLCs, HMIs and drives inside a machine cabinet.
