Overview
The ACS580 is ABB's general-purpose drive for pumps, fans, conveyors and compressors — the applications that make up most of a plant's motor load. The -12A6-4 frame is rated 5.5 kW normal duty (4 kW heavy duty) at 400 V. It ships with an assistant control panel that walks through commissioning, an integrated C2 EMC filter and brake chopper, and Modbus RTU on board; fieldbus adapters add PROFINET, EtherNet/IP or PROFIBUS. Coated circuit boards are standard, which matters in Vietnam's humid plant rooms.
