Overview
The Advantech ADAM-6050 is a Modbus TCP Ethernet I/O module with 12 isolated digital inputs (counter/frequency capable) and 6 digital outputs (sink, with pulse output), the most used module of the ADAM-6000 series for connecting pump status, alarms and relays to SCADA. Beyond Modbus TCP it supports MQTT and RESTful APIs for IIoT platforms, peer-to-peer I/O mirroring between modules, and GCL (Graphic Condition Logic) that lets the module run simple logic without a PLC. The 2-port daisy-chain Ethernet avoids extra switches, and the web-based utility handles configuration and diagnostics. The -D version includes the DIN-rail mounting kit.
Key features
- 12 isolated DI (counter 3 kHz / frequency) and 6 DO (sink, 0.5 A, pulse output)
- Modbus TCP, MQTT (publish/subscribe), RESTful API, SNMP; peer-to-peer and GCL logic
- 2 × Ethernet ports for daisy-chain topology; web configuration utility
- Isolation 2,500 V DC; 10–30 V DC; -10…+70 °C; DIN rail
- Widely supported by WebAccess/SCADA, Ignition, Node-RED and most SCADA packages
Typical applications
- Pump and valve status to SCADA in water plants
- Alarm and door-contact monitoring
- Simple local logic with GCL (e.g. level control)
- MQTT publishing of machine states to IIoT platforms

Frequently asked questions
Can the ADAM-6050 work without a PLC or SCADA?
Yes. GCL logic runs locally — for example a level switch input can control a pump output with timers — and peer-to-peer mirrors inputs on one module to outputs on another over Ethernet.
Does it send data to the cloud?
Yes. MQTT publish/subscribe and REST API are built in, so an IIoT platform can read I/O states directly without a gateway.
Is the ADAM-6050 available from stock, and what is the lead time?
ADAM-6000 modules are stocked in Vietnam; delivery typically 1–5 days. We confirm with the quotation.
