Overview
The Autonics E50S8 is a Ø50 mm shaft-type incremental rotary encoder with an 8 mm solid shaft, available from 1 to 8,000 pulses per revolution with A, B and Z phases. The example E50S8-1000-3-T-24 has 1000 PPR, three phases, totem-pole output and 12–24 V DC supply; NPN open-collector, voltage and line-driver (5 V) outputs are also available. The aluminium housing with IP50 protection and a 6,000 rpm shaft rating suits conveyors, cut-to-length lines, winders and motor feedback on general machinery.
