Overview
The Autonics TK4S is a 48 × 48 mm (1/16 DIN) PID temperature controller with a universal input for thermocouples, RTDs and analog signals, a 50 ms sampling rate and ±0.3 % accuracy. It supports heating, cooling and heating/cooling control with auto-tuning and a current-transformer input for heater-burnout alarm. Output options are relay, SSR drive or 4–20 mA/0–10 V current/voltage; the -14RN example has a relay control output and one alarm relay. The optional RS-485 Modbus RTU port connects it to an HMI or SCADA, and DAQMaster software handles parameter setup. The TK series is the modern replacement for the long-running Autonics TZ4ST and TZN4S controllers.

Frequently asked questions
Is the TK4S a drop-in replacement for the TZ4ST?
The cutout (45 × 45 mm) and most functions are the same, but the terminal layout differs. We provide the cross-reference and wiring comparison with the quotation.
Can the TK4S control both heating and cooling?
Yes. Heating/cooling mode uses two outputs — for example relay for the heater and SSR drive for a cooling valve — with separate PID parameters and a dead band.
Is the TK4S available from stock, and what is the lead time?
