EchoPulse LR15 Pulse Radar Level Transmitter
Part number LR15-1001
Non-contact 26 GHz pulse radar level transmitter for chemical and water tanks, 2 in PP rod antenna, range to 8 m, 4–20 mA HART, unaffected by vapour, foam and temperature.
- CE
- IP68
- 4–20 mA
- HART

Overview
The Flowline EchoPulse LR15 is a two-wire 26 GHz pulse radar for liquids in chemical storage, water and wastewater tanks where vapour, foam, condensation or temperature swings make ultrasonic measurement unreliable. The polypropylene rod antenna threads into a 2-inch connection and resists acids, caustics and hypochlorite, and the radar measures to 8 m with ±5 mm accuracy regardless of the vapour above the liquid. Setup is done with the on-board display and keypad or over HART, and a simple false-echo mapping handles tank internals. The LR15 is typically the first step up from EchoPod for difficult media at a price well below process radars.
Key features
- 26 GHz pulse radar, range to 8 m, accuracy ±5 mm, two-wire 4–20 mA HART
- PP rod antenna, 2 in NPT/G2, chemically resistant and non-fouling
- Unaffected by vapour, foam, condensation, temperature and pressure changes
- On-board display and keypad plus HART configuration; false-echo mapping
- IP68 housing; typical use on hypochlorite, acid and caustic tanks
Typical applications
- Sodium hypochlorite and acid storage tanks
- Hot or vaporous chemical tanks where ultrasonic fails
- Wastewater tanks with foam
- Outdoor tanks with large temperature swings

Frequently asked questions
When should I use radar instead of ultrasonic?
When the tank contains hot or fuming chemicals, foam, heavy condensation, or stands outdoors with large temperature changes. Radar is unaffected by the gas phase, so the reading stays stable where ultrasonic would drift or lose echo.
Can the LR15 be installed in a plastic tank?
Yes. It threads into a 2 in bung or flange adapter; the plastic tank wall does not affect the measurement as long as the antenna is inside the tank.
Is the LR15 available from stock, and what is the lead time?
Typical delivery is 2–3 weeks; some units are held in Vietnam. We confirm with the quotation.
