Overview
The Fuji Electric FRENIC-Ace is a multipurpose inverter from 0.1 to 710 kW with three overload ratings (HHD/HD/ND), sensorless vector control for induction and PM motors and a customizable logic function (up to 200 steps) that replaces small PLCs in machine applications. The FRN0012E2S-4GB is the 5.5 kW HD / 7.5 kW ND 400 V model with Modbus RTU and CANopen built in, PID control, dual-rating operation and a brake transistor to 22 kW; option cards add PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, PROFIBUS and EtherCAT. The keypad supports parameter copy and the FRENIC Loader 4 software provides commissioning and real-time trace. The Ace is the mid-range choice between the Mini C2 and the MEGA.

What is the customizable logic function?
A built-in function-block editor (logic gates, timers, counters, comparators) that lets the drive handle interlocks, sequences and simple control without an external PLC.
Can I use one Ace for both a conveyor (HD) and a fan (ND)?
The rating is a parameter setting, so the same drive is sold for both; the HD setting gives 150 % overload at a lower kW, the ND setting a higher kW at 120 %.
