Overview
The SMC AC30-03-A is the current-generation ("A") modular FRL combination: an AF30 air filter (5 µm), AR30 regulator and AL30 lubricator joined by spacers with brackets, with Rc3/8 ports and a pressure gauge. It conditions the compressed-air supply to a machine — removing water and particles, regulating to the working pressure and, where required, adding lubrication. The AC-A series has a lower profile and improved regulator characteristics compared with the previous generation, a backflow function option, and a choice of manual or auto drain on the filter bowl. For non-lubricated systems the AC30A-03 (filter regulator + mist separator) or AW30 (filter regulator) are the usual alternatives.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need the lubricator?
Only if your cylinders and valves are lubricated-type or your tools require oil mist. Most modern SMC components are non-lube; in that case an AW30 filter regulator is sufficient and avoids oil carry-over.
Can I add an auto drain?
Yes. Specify the -D suffix (e.g. AC30-03D-A) for a float-type auto drain on the filter bowl; it is recommended for humid environments.
