VEGA VEGABAR 82 Pressure Transmitter (BR82.CXBGA1HKMAX) — product card

Overview

The VEGABAR 82 uses VEGA's dry CERTEC ceramic measuring cell — no oil fill — which makes it vacuum-proof, abrasion resistant and insensitive to temperature shocks, with overload capability up to 200 times the measuring range. Spans run from 25 mbar to 100 bar with ±0.05 % accuracy (±0.1 % standard) and the flush ceramic diaphragm suits slurries, viscous products and hygienic installations. A second VEGABAR 82 can be paired with the first as an electronic differential pressure system, replacing capillary DP seals for level in closed tanks. Commissioning is via Bluetooth with the VEGA Tools app, and SIL2 qualification covers safety loops. The example code is a G1/2 flush version with HART and 316L connection.

Key features

  • Dry CERTEC ceramic cell: vacuum-proof, abrasion resistant, 200 × overload
  • Spans 25 mbar to 100 bar, accuracy ±0.05 % (option), ±0.1 % standard
  • Electronic differential pressure with a second sensor — no capillary seals
  • Flush, hygienic and front-flush process connections from G1/2 to DN80
  • 4–20 mA HART 7, PROFIBUS PA, FF; SIL2; ATEX, IECEx, FM, CSA; Bluetooth setup

Typical applications

  • Hydrostatic level in tanks with viscous or abrasive products
  • Filter and pump pressure in water treatment
  • Vacuum and process pressure in food and pharma
  • Electronic DP level in closed vessels

Frequently asked questions

What is the advantage of a dry ceramic cell?

There is no oil fill to leak, expand with temperature or permeate hydrogen. The ceramic diaphragm withstands vacuum, abrasive slurries and high overloads, and keeps its accuracy through temperature shocks such as CIP cycles.

How does electronic differential pressure work?

Two VEGABAR 82 sensors — one at the bottom of the tank, one at the top — are connected; the primary sensor calculates the difference and outputs level, density or differential pressure. It replaces capillary DP seals, which are sensitive to ambient temperature and difficult to install.

Is the VEGABAR 82 available from stock, and what is the lead time?

Typical factory lead time is 1–3 weeks for standard connections. We confirm with the quotation.
