VEGAPULS 64 80 GHz Radar Level Sensor
Part number PS64.CXKGNFSXAMAX
80 GHz non-contact radar for liquids, 3° beam, ±1 mm accuracy, range to 30 m, flush PTFE/PEEK antenna from 3/4 in thread, Bluetooth commissioning, SIL2.
- CE
- ATEX
- IECEx
- SIL2
- HART 7

Overview
The VEGAPULS 64 was the first 80 GHz radar for liquids and remains the benchmark for narrow nozzles, tall tanks and vessels with internal structures. The 3° beam angle lets it measure past agitators, heating coils and build-up on tank walls, while the flush, encapsulated PTFE or PEEK antenna can be installed in threads as small as 3/4 inch. Accuracy is ±1 mm over a 30 m range, and the large dynamic range makes it work on low-dielectric liquids and through foam. Setup is done from a phone or tablet via Bluetooth with the VEGA Tools app, and the sensor is SIL2 qualified for overfill protection. The example feature code is a G1-1/2 thread PTFE-antenna version with HART.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between VEGAPULS 64 and VEGAPULS 6X?
VEGAPULS 6X is VEGA's newer universal 80 GHz sensor that covers liquids and solids in one platform with a self-diagnosing radar chip. VEGAPULS 64 is still available and quoted for liquid applications; we propose 6X where it offers a benefit at the same price.
Can the VEGAPULS 64 measure through foam?
The 80 GHz signal penetrates light foam and the high dynamic range usually finds the liquid surface. For dense, stable foam we recommend guided-wave radar (VEGAFLEX 81) instead, and we ask about the process before quoting.
Is the VEGAPULS 64 available from stock, and what is the lead time?
Typical factory lead time is 1–3 weeks for standard versions. We confirm with the quotation.
