Overview
The Rosemount 3144P is a field-mounted temperature transmitter with dual-compartment housing, designed for critical and safety-related temperature points where a head-mount transmitter is not robust enough. It accepts two RTD or thermocouple sensors and provides Hot Backup automatic switch-over, sensor drift alert and differential or average measurement. Accuracy is ±0.1 °C with a Pt100, and thermocouple degradation diagnostics warn before an open-circuit failure. The 3144P is SIL2 certified for single use and SIL3 in redundant architectures. The example string is dual-input with ATEX flameproof (E5) and LCD (M5).
