The Modicon M221 is Schneider Electric's entry-level machine controller, programmed free of charge in EcoStruxure Machine Expert – Basic. The TM221CE16R has Ethernet (Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP adapter) and a serial line (Modbus RTU) on board, relay outputs and a wide-range AC supply, which makes it a frequent choice for simple packaging machines, pump panels and HVAC equipment.
