PlusSmart Predictive Maintenance for Pumps & Motors in Thailand
Read more: how a 90-day wireless vibration pilot works · pump reliability · all ASEAN insights
PlusSmart Technology (Singapore) gives rotating equipment senses: wireless vibration and temperature sensors, online oil monitoring, electrical signature analysis, smart pump control and an analytics team of pump engineers who read the data for you. In Thailand we work with petrochemical and refining on the Eastern Seaboard, power and cogeneration, sugar and ethanol mills, food and beverage, water utilities and pulp and paper – plants where an unplanned pump or motor failure costs far more than the monitoring that would have predicted it.
- ✔ Install in hours, no cabling
- ✔ Remote diagnosis by pump engineers
- ✔ Works with your DCS/SCADA/historian
- ✔ Pilot on 5–20 assets first
- ✔ ASEAN coverage from Vietnam and Singapore

Why Thailand plants start with pumps and motors
Pumps and motors rarely fail “suddenly”. Weeks before failure they vibrate more, run hotter, contaminate their oil and distort their current. The P-F curve – from the point a defect becomes detectable (P) to functional failure (F) – typically spans weeks to months. Oil and electrical analysis usually see the defect first, then high-frequency vibration, then overall vibration; temperature and noise come last, often days before failure. Monitoring continuously instead of quarterly turns emergency repairs into planned work and lets you order parts before the machine stops.
Typical sites in Thailand
Map Ta Phut petrochemical complexes (cooling-water, process and firewater pumps), gas-fired and biomass power plants, sugar mills in the Northeast (boiler feed and juice pumps during crushing season), beverage and food plants in Ayutthaya and Pathum Thani, Provincial Waterworks and Metropolitan Waterworks pumping stations, cement plants in Saraburi, pulp and paper in Prachinburi.
The PlusSmart toolkit
i-ALERT® wireless vibration & temperature sensor
Magnet-mounted on pumps, motors, fans. Vibration, temperature and run-hours to your phone and to PlusSmart Analytics. No cabling, battery life measured in years.
ReliaPump™ smart VFD pump control
Protects pumps from dry running, dead-heading, cavitation and water hammer while cutting energy; typical for multi-pump stations, slurry and dust-suppression pumps.
PlusSmart Analytics
Pump engineers and software turn DCS/SCADA/historian and sensor data into an asset ranking: which machine, what work, when. Monthly reliability reports for your management.
Poseidon Trident™ online oil monitoring
Continuous oil quality and wear-debris monitoring for gearboxes, turbines and compressors – the earliest warning on the P-F curve.
ElectroSine motor diagnostics
Electrical signature analysis from the MCC: rotor bars, stator faults, power quality – ideal for submersible, remote and hazardous-area motors.
Flexaseal mechanical seals
Seals and seal-support systems for pumps that fail within months: high temperature, high pressure, slurry, large pumps needing in-place seal changes.
PlusVision™ industrial AI camera
Edge AI alerts for leaks, overflow, smoke, PPE and restricted zones.
How a project runs across borders
- Remote assessment (free): send us your list of bad actors – pumps and motors with repeated bearing, seal or alignment failures – or export DCS/VSD trends. We rank risk and propose monitoring that fits your budget.
- Pilot: 5–20 assets. Sensors ship from Singapore or Vietnam; your technicians mount them with our video guidance, or our engineer visits for commissioning.
- Baseline and thresholds: 2–4 weeks of data, thresholds set per asset with reference to ISO 10816/20816.
- Monthly reliability review: PlusSmart engineers report findings and recommended actions in English; your team executes, we re-measure to prove the result.
- Scale: integrate with SCADA/CMMS, add oil and electrical monitoring on critical gearboxes and motors, extend to other plants.
Documented results
- 0 seal failures since 2015 after ReliaPump on dust-suppression pumps at an iron-ore export port
- +30% energy savings beyond target on 24 pentane pumps at a geothermal power plant
- 4 days from installing i-ALERT sensors to a remote FFT root-cause diagnosis
- 5,000+ Poseidon systems operating in wind energy worldwide

Frequently asked questions
Can PlusSmart support a plant in Thailand without a local office?
Yes. Sensors and gateways are installed by your technicians or our visiting engineer; data flows to the cloud and PlusSmart engineers in Singapore and Vietnam analyse it. Site visits for commissioning and root-cause work are scheduled from Vietnam (1.5 hours by air).
Does it work with our existing DCS or SCADA?
Yes. PlusSmart Analytics reads historian/DCS/SCADA exports and VSD data alongside sensor data; no change to your control system is required.
What does a pilot cost and how long does it take?
A pilot on 5–20 critical assets is typically commissioned within a few weeks of order. Pricing depends on the technologies selected; request an assessment and we will propose options with a 12-month cost-of-failure comparison.
