Overview

The Yaskawa GA500 is a compact drive from 0.1 to 30 kW that controls induction, permanent-magnet and synchronous-reluctance motors with open-loop vector control. The GA50B4009ABB is the 4 kW 400 V model (9.2 A heavy duty / 11.1 A normal duty) with built-in EMC filter, DC-link choke on larger frames, Modbus RTU and Safe Torque Off certified to SIL3 / PL e. Setup is guided by the keypad wizard or the DriveWizard Mobile app over an optional Bluetooth LED keypad, and parameter backup is stored in the keypad. Option cards cover PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, PROFIBUS and others. The GA500 is designed for 10-year maintenance-free operation at 50 °C.
